{"id":1233,"date":"2016-07-20T19:13:33","date_gmt":"2016-07-20T17:13:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nsu-nebenklage.de\/en\/?p=1233"},"modified":"2016-07-20T19:15:01","modified_gmt":"2016-07-20T17:15:01","slug":"19-july-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsu-nebenklage.de\/en\/2016\/07\/20\/19-july-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"19 July 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>The taking and consideration of evidence clearly show that the trial is headed towards a conviction<\/h4>\n<p>Today the court heard one witness, a computer expert with the federal criminal police who had inter alia printed out the photos of Zsch\u00e4pe\u2019s, B\u00f6hnhardt\u2019s and Mundlos\u2019 summer vacation in 2004, contained on a CD-ROM found in the Fr\u00fchlingsstra\u00dfe apartment. These pictures, taken shortly after the nail bomb attack in the Keupstra\u00dfe in Cologne, show a merry Zsch\u00e4pe in harmony with the two men \u2013 refuting her claim that after the men had told her of the Cologne attack, there had been icy silence between her and them (see the report of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsu-nebenklage.de\/en\/2016\/05\/11\/11-may-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\">11 May 2016<\/a>). The fact that the court takes such care to investigate technical details concerning these photos shows that it is planning to use them in its judgment \u2013 as an incriminating piece of evidence disproving Zsch\u00e4pe\u2019s statement in court.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The court also rejected several motions for evidence brought by the Wohlleben defense, all of which had aimed at casting doubt on the chain of custody of the murder weapon Ceska as contained in the indictment and confirmed by the evidence heard so far. The court based its decision on a very thorough consideration of the evidence, concluding that the statement by the first buyer \u2013 who had given it to his acquaintance M\u00fcller, from whom it had found its way to Thuringia and finally to Wohlleben and Schultze \u2013 are believable.<\/p>\n<p>In both cases, the trial day today thus gives a foretaste of the final judgement \u2013 as before, everything points towards a conviction.<\/p>\n<p>After the court had read out, following a motion by the Wohlleben defense, two documents containing \u201cethnopluralist\u201d statements said to hail from Wohlleben, victims\u2019 counsel moved that a self-portrayal of the \u201cThuringia Home Guard\u201d from 2000 be read out. In that document, the \u201cHome Guard\u201d inter alia pledged its allegiance to \u201cnational Socialism\u201d (in German: \u201cnationaler Sozialismus\u201d, a phrasing meant to clearly state one\u2019s Nazi ideology without openly admitting that it is \u201cNationalsozialismus\u201d one has in mind). They also declare the multicultural society to be \u201cone of the biggest crimes committed against humanity\u201d, \u201cthe systematic eradication of cultural identities and entire peoples which was to be \u201cfought by all means necessary\u201d.
