And: no trial tomorrow or next week.<\/h4>\n<p>The trial could not continue with the closing statements of victims and\u00a0their counsel today since the judges tasked with deciding on the various\u00a0defense challenges against several judges for alleged bias had not been\u00a0able to reach decisions on all challenges.<\/p>\n<p>However, the presiding judge had to hold a trial session today as the\u00a0trial may only be interrupted for up to three weeks. He therefor ordered\u00a0that the trial be continued today in order for the court to inform the\u00a0accused of potential changes in the legal qualification of the alleged\u00a0facts and similar issues. Such information was then in fact provided by\u00a0the court, it is in line with the motions brought by the prosecution in\u00a0its closing statement and is of no particular significance here.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->In the trial breaks, the Eminger and Wohlleben defenses brought further\u00a0obviously contrived challenges for alleged bias.<\/p>\n<p>As the court will have to decide on all these challenges before the\u00a0closing statements of victims and victims&#8217; counsel can begin, the trial\u00a0days scheduled for tomorrow and next week have been canceled. As no\u00a0trial days had been scheduled for the week after that, the trial will\u00a0only continue on 24 October 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More challenges for alleged bias.
